چکیده

Due to the intensification of poultry sector, manure is being produced in increasing quantities, and its on-site management becoming a critical problem. Animal health problems can be solved by stricter veterinary environmental standards. The off-site coupled industrial chicken recycling technology (Hosoya compost tea) fundamentally affects agricultural value new organic-based products. limited information available on technology-related microbiological changes, this was examined study. A pot experiment with pepper test plant set up, using two different soils (Arenosol, slightly humous Arenosol) doses (irrigation once week 40 mL tea: dose 1, D1; irrigation twice 2, D2) tea. Compost tea raw materials, tea, treated were tested. products (granulated manure, their effects characterized following parameters: aerobic bacterial count (log CFU/g), fluorescein diacetate activity (3?,6?-diacetylfluorescein, FDA, µg Fl/g soil), glucosidase enzyme (GlA; PNP/µmol/g), identification microorganisms matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS). Furthermore, we aimed investigate how indicators tested, effect tested plant, could interpreted. Based our results, characteristics showed an increase activity, case FDA +0.26 ?g soil at D1, while GlA increased +1.28 PNP/µmol/g Arenosol +2.44 +0.15 log CFU/g D2, +0.35 +0.85 W8. MALDI-TOF MS results that dominant genera analyzed Bacillus sp., Lysinibacillus Pseudomonas sp. Overall, microbial inducers investigated good alternative for evaluating solutions soil–plant systems. In both types, total chlorophyll content tea-treated (Capsicum annuum L.) had as result D1 recommended and, D2 soil.

Poultry Relief? Organic Farming May Reduce Drug Resistance

Organic poultry is one of the fastest growing segments of the U.S. organic foods market, and many conventional poultry farms have converted to organic methods to capitalize on this demand. Among other requirements, organic growers are not allowed to use any antibiotics on chickens from hatching to slaughter. A new study indicates organic practices may help reduce the prevalence of antibiotic-re...

Potential Challenges to the Adoption of Organic Poultry Farming in Nigeria: A Review

This paper considers the potential problems that may militate against the adoption of organic poultry production in Nigeria. Factors identified include: higher risk of diseases like coccidiosis and Newcastle disease, disease prevention and control / herd health management, disease containment in times of outbreak, land acquisition (land tenure system), market economies / cost-benefit ratio, pas...

Microbiological Process Report Activity of Microorganisms in Organic Waste Disposal

Principles of aerobic and anaerobic treatment of organic wastes were developed in the previous papers of this symposium. The application of these principles to engineering design is discussed in this paper. Although the discussion is restricted to the aerobic treatments, the concepts are equally applicable to anaerobic treatments. Laboratory or pilot plant studies are employed to develop engine...

Fish Waste Bio-Refinery Products: Its application in Organic Farming

Fish waste biomasses are locally available resources which contain nutrients. Fermentation of the biomass produces slurries used for plankton production and plant/agri-nutri use. Bio-refinery of fish waste material can be converted into value added biological products such as biofuels, industrial chemicals, animal and fish feed, human food, neutraceuticals and organic fertilizer, etc. Fish proc...

Recycling of Urban Organic Waste for Urban Agriculture

The accelerated growth of the global urban population implies an increasing demand for public services. Yet, urban centres in developing countries are unable to meet such demand – services such as sanitation are poor or inadequate to cope with the increasing rates of urbanisation and the associated higher standards of living. According to the UN 2002 Human Development Report, 2.4 billion people...
